Oh wow the manga just ended a month ago, I thought the anime would take more time to end.
I loved pretty much everything about FMA and I liked the ending, well except the death of Hohenheim....his kids finally likes him and he dies...

I read manga, and I think it was awesome. Although the ending sort of extinguishes any hopes for a sequel ;[

I wasn't really a big fan for FMA:Brotherhood, although I still liked it. The first FMA Anime was great. Still, both of them had a good run.

A few months ago, /a/ finally encouraged me to start reading the manga, so I started reading it from where the anime had gotten up to. I knew about pretty much all of the epic that was about to come together in the last five or so episodes, but I still had plenty of tears flow. I think episode 62 (maybe 63) was the one that shook me the most in its entirety, but the one moment that shook me the most was probably right as Winry was reaching for the doorknob to go outside and she heard Al's voice.
Was a really nice series, and I was glad to see that it was made with the intention of following the source material. It doesn't look like anything this season or this spring is going to yield something that's going to last as long, or is going to be as enjoyable or as satisfying. Durarara!! was pretty fantastic, but that's already over, and I'm not seeing anything that might please me as much as those two. I might have to go look for some decent Tatami Galaxy subs, and then start looking back into the past for some series that I've overlooked.

It was an amazing series. It was always something I looked forward to on sundays . I heard there was an FMA:Brotherhood movie coming out though.

I haven't seen the final anime ep, but I finished the manga some time ago.
I liked FMA: Brotherhood although I still strongly believe that the original anime version which wasn't based on the manga was much more moving and provocative. Conqueror of Shamballa was a great movie too.
